                                  BattleField 3
BattleField 3 or BF3 is an upcoming fps coming out in autumn of 2011. BF3 is developed by DICE and is the direct sequel of BattleField 2. Through the time span of BF2 and BF3, DICE had launched two highly rated FPS games. Those two games were Battlefield Bad Company 1&2 (BFBC1/2). BFBC1 and BFBC2 are considered to be less realistic than its counterpart. BF3 will upgrade the realism with its new Frostbite 2.0 engine. All of the buildings in BF3 are highly destructible. The articles about BF3 are highly recognizing the new trailer that was released. DICE has stated that many things such as prone will return to the BF series. The articles are written by DICE.

I am so excited for the release of BF3 I myself adore military shooters, and BFBC2 is my #1 favorite FPS game. Call of Duty is the same concept every time, and completely unrealistic. BF3 will utilize some of the best graphics the world has ever seen. The Frostbite 2.0 engine is comparable to real life. I am longing to see how many people will order BF3. I hope the player base on all consoles is very high.

DICE is stated that the PC version will be the leading version and will obviously be top-notch. Players will need an expensive gaming rig for the best multiplayer experience. I hope the console versions are just as good and as playable as the PC version. DICE has stated that the console version is no slouch, I trust their judgment.

BF3 will most defiantly bring a revolution to gaming all around the world. Players will be able to utilize their expensive gaming rigs to the fullest, or just have a ton of fun on the console. Either way, BF3 may be the best FPS game ever created.

Flash Points in Star Wars: The Old Republic

Flash Points in Star Wars: Old Republic

Star Wars: The Old Republic is an MMO game created by Lucasarts and Bioware. The game is set about 600 years before the original movie series takes place. Flashpoints are similar to instances in SWTOR. They provide a place where players can group, fight, and have fun while gaining valuable combat experience. Bioware has stated that there will be many flashpoints throughout the game. The article and the video also state that there will be many cut scenes and player interaction.

I am interested to see how the cut scenes are implemented into SWOTR. Games such as World of Warcraft (WoW) have linear instances where you kill a boss, loot the corpse, rinse wash, and repeat. I am hoping that SWTOR will be more excited and have a better storyline in Flashpoints. SWTOR will hopefully benefit the success of WoW by implementing aspects that players have come to enjoy, one of those being the shear competitiveness of getting good loot. This would encourage players to raid more.

Since Flashpoints are similar to the dungeons and raids of WoW, I wonder if there will be 10 man + raids. Players can group in huge armies to take down a very powerful boss, and get very rewarding loot. I trust Bioware will do a good job designing their own custom “instances”

Bioware and Lucasarts have a large chance to compete with modern day MMO’s such as WoW. The game has gone through a long development process. I am glad to see that players have a choice whether to level solo, or with a group.

The Fate of the Galaxy!

The fate of the galaxy will rest in the player’s hands when Star Wars the Old Republic is released. The game has seen much advancement in technology, graphics, and gameplay since it was announced in late 2007. Star Wars the Old Republic (SWTOR) is a massively multiplayer online role playing game developed by Bioware. SWTOR will be Bioware’s first MMORPG to be developed on its own. SWTOR and Bioware recently went to PAX 2011 (gaming festival) to show off their new mechanics and previews for the games debut. The articles are written by the Bioware team, the article is called “The Fate of the Galaxy”
SWTOR is set to be an all-time hit; many people are expected to pre-order the game. I like the Bioware has worked so diligently over the years to give players a successful gaming experience. I am hoping that Bioware will overcome the burden of successful MMO’s such as Runescape and World of Warcract. If SWTOR can sell more game copies than World of Warcraft, and have very good gameplay, the game will most defiantly be a huge success.
I am excited to see that SWTOR went to PAX 2011. This was the first time they have attended a gaming festival since mid-2010. They have shown much of the work they have been doing. I am hoping that Bioware will give eager people the release date of this game so it can be pre-ordered as early as possible. The proven $15 subscription will be well worth it because so far, famous game critics have given SWTOR a very positive score.
Star Wars will be forever changed upon the release of this highly anticipated game. The advancements from 2007-2011 have really been astonishing. Bioware has taken the time to learn from other games downfall (such as repetitive content). If Bioware communicates with its player base, it will be a successful like World of Warcraft.

Guild Wars 2

Guild Wars 2

Guild Wars 2 is an upcoming massively multiplayer online role playing game (or MMORPG for short). The game is developed by Arena Net who developed the previous game, Guild Wars. Guild Wars 2 is set 250-300 years after the story of Guild Wars 1. ArenaNet has released many gameplay videos at the major game festivals around the world. The articles on the Guild Wars 2 site state that there are five races. Those races are the Sylvari, the Norn, the Charr, the Asura and the Humans. Each race has a specific starting zone where a player will start his adventure and ultimately forge his destiny. ArenaNet has currently released six professions. The professions are guardian, necromancer, warrior, rogue, ranger and the elementals. Each of the races has a specific role but variety is sure to be included. The article was written by the ArenaNet team.
Guild Wars 2 was first announced in 2007. It is now 2011 and is scheduled to be released in November. I am interested in seeing how much work that was put into the game. Mega-corporations such as Blizzard Entertainment have accumulated billions of dollars as a result of their fast selling games such as StarCraft I and II, Diablo I, II, and soon II, and World of Warcraft. This game should be developed enough to not be considered a World of Warcraft clone like other games. This game is very similar to other games I have written about. All the games I have written about are unique in their own special way. I found the article interesting because of the amount of detail the writers put into writing stories for their readers. The writing and storyline are both excellent in their own way.
I am excited to see the release of Guild Wars 2 be a huge success. Any people have waited for this game to be available for what will be four long years. One of the most exciting and re-assuring things about Guild Wars 2 is that there is no subscription!  Many other MMORPG’s such as World of Warcraft require a subscription of $15 a month; Guild Wars 2 just requires a purchase of the game. From then on out, players can play forever if they wish.
Guild Wars 2 is expected to be a hit. I am estimating at least 5 million sales in the first month alone. There are many unique classes and races that are unique to Guild Wars 2. The fact that Guild Wars 2 does not require a monthly subscription is astounding to hear. I predict that ArenaNet will make this game superb and it will dethrone World of Warcraft’s place as the online game with the most players.
